Can a 12-year-old kid use hyaluronic acid?

You are never too young to start taking care of your skin! That sounds like a great combination for your skincare routine. Remember to include a daily cleanser as well as SPF too.

I’ll second the answer that there’s no real point - The molecular chains are too long and they won’t penetrate the skin to have any real effect.

Something which works well as preventative anti-aging skincare is hyaluronic acid (~2%) and Lactic acid (<15%, much lower for a child’s delicate skin.)

Yes, the retinol serum will help you maintain your youthful, unlined face. I dont know what kind of cream you are using, but to plump and firm the skin you can use a combination of vitamin c serum and hyaluronic acid serum. Here is a photo of me. I am 61 years old and use those three items twice a day.

I would suggest you to use organic products in your skin care…it can be harsh on your skin..so u can go for some mild toners..

Well I would say talk to your mum if you're a girl or dad if you're a boy , I can answer but I don't know your gender and it's something best talked about with a parent.

Regardless of gender nothing to be worried or ashamed about.

I wouldnt use it, its for over 40 year olds. Use moisturiser, you are very young, your skin is not aged.

Hi there Jiyoo! Hope this message finds you healthy and well especially during these Covid times. ?

To answer your question, we have to go back to the basics of what is Hyaluronic Acid.

Hyaluronic Acid also known as Hyaluronan is a natural substance found in the body that makes up our skin, connective tissues and eyes. Its a humectant which means it works by attracting water to it, and helps keep your tissues and skin well moist and lubricated.

You can either apply it topically (external application) or digest hyaluronic acids.

So why do we use Hyaluronic Acid or digest it? ?

Research has shown that Hyaluronic acid helps give supple moist skin, reduce wrinkles, helps heal wounds, if ingested helps lubricate joints and reduce dry eyes.

Because it is a natural substance (providing you are taking or using only the natural stuff which doesnt have or have minimal chemical additives) we dont see no reason why a 12 year old cannot use Hyaluronic Acid.

Of course do not inject any into your body (there are some treatments that do)
However if you do it in moderation for the sake of moisturizing, it is safe for you to use it.
Chances are the only reason why you are using it at such a young age is just that you are starting young to maintain your skin. If wrinkles and dark spots are your main worry. Make sure besides moisturizing, you need to apply sunblock protection!

Take care Jiwoo!
