Can ions dissolve in non-polar solvents?
Not a totaly nonpolar one but a lot of solvent are at least a little polar.
Also an ionic compound may disolve in a nonpolar solvent without nesasaraly needing to disacociate into ions. soap or detergent can be disolved in oil as they include an oil compatible part with an ionic part on the end.
Some types of grease have or did once have saop in them and some types don’t include any water.
