I know that synchronous maturity is a character that is genetically governed. Mainly short duration bushy type of plants are nearly synchronous in nature.  But apart from breeding I would like to know if there is any means to achieve the near synchronous nature in these plants.

Generally pulses do not have synchronous maturity so pods should be harvested in two pickings. Amarendra has rightly mentioned that synchronous maturity character is genetically governed and breeders are striving hard for this purpose. There is one variety from AVRDC which possess this character.

Maturity depends upon genetic character of the  crop. Synchronous nature of the crop can be  improved by Paul application.
