Even if the solubility is decreased, there may still be enough in solution to get a spectrum.More

Otherwise I second water. Maybe with a drop of tfa to fully proyonate the amine, should increase aq. solubilityMore

Well, I have tried to get a spectra. However, the NMR machine seems to have trouble with the sample. There are way too many inconsistent peaks. I have tried to prepare a sample and then run it through a sonicator even, but to no avail. As for the case of water, I have mostly used ACN during the purification procedures, so I doubt that it would work. But there is no harm in trying :)More

how did you purify it? if it's very insoluble, you could make the amine salt which would make it soluble in D2O.More

I have purified it first via prep-TLC and then HPLC. The mobile phases were mostly ACN. Thanks for the suggestion.More

Maybe D2O? I am assuming you have a free amine now which should help water solubility quite a bitMore

If it’s stable under acidic conditions try d-TFAMore
