How can I remove copper from a click reaction mixture using EDTA?
If you can extract your compound in an organic solvent (DCM for instance) then use a EDTA solution (0,01M should be OK) to remove the catalyst. If your compound is water soluble and big enough you can then use dialysis against EDTA or with EDTA. There is also a resin called chelex that you can use you should avoid using it if your compound is charged it could be retained on the resin. http://www.bio-rad.com/webmaster/pdfs/9184_Chelex.PDF
