How do you distinguish between but 1 ene and but 2 ene?
Well, you got [math] ext{1-butylene}[/math], and [math] ext{2-butylene}[/math]…isomers of [math]C_{4}H_{8}[/math]…. [math] ext{Cyclobutane}[/math] and [math] ext{methylcyclopropane}[/math] are OTHER such isomers….
The given butylenes DIFFER in the position of the olefinic bond…i.e.
