How do you remove 4-Dimethylaminopyridine from the reaction mixture?
Much details are required here. Which reaction was it used for? Esterification/acetylation? It all depends on the reaction. Most cases, DMAP is used as nucleophilic catalyst, simply put, in tiny quantity. I don't think it should be left-over after an acid wash or wash with aqueous CuSO4.

Dear Raja Mohan., 100% Removal of DMAP Was easily possible., if your product is biological or therapeutic compound means you should need to remove DMAP 100%, i have great experience in this area here some concerns for you You should be able to obtain your ester by using a 2N or 3N HCl solution to wash the organic and protonate DMAP. collect the organics (the DMAP should remain in the aqueous.) in general DMAP will wash out with just plain water.If You need more details ask me.., Good Luck & Regards R.Selva...............

It rather depends on what the product is, and how much DMAP is present. Without details, and why the usual methods don't work, there's not a lot of advice one can give.

if your poroduct cannot be columned you could alternatively wash the organic phase with aq CuSO4. DMAP should coordinate and form a water soluble Cu complex.

you should indeed specify which reactiuon you are running....if your product doesnt have any function ameanable to protonation, dissolve or suspend the misture in a 5% aqueous KHSO4, and extract your product in AcOEt several times, folloewd by washings with water to get rid of the traces salts dissolved in the organic layer, anhydrification with MgSO4 and finally remove the solvent under reduced pressure...

Agree with James. In general there are two solutions: _ first one : wash organic phase by diluted acid will remove DMAP from your product (if your product is not a base and if it is soluble in organic phase). _ The other way is to used DMAP supported on polymer and eliminate by simple filtration.

Dear Raja Mohan,
some years ago I used DMAP in aminoacid-coupling and I used to remove it by trituration in n-hexane.
