How to calculate faradaic efficiency electrocatalytic water spliting?
Hi Kc Ranjeesh, the faradaic efficiency (or current efficiency) is defined as the ratio of the measured amount of produced hydrogen (oxygen) and the theoretical amount of produced hydrogen (oxygen) according to Faraday’s Law. It can be calculated as follows: n = Iel / (Iel + Iloss) where Iel is the current that participate in water splitting and Iloss for example in unwanted side reactions. Greets Karim

M stands for the Molar mass (weight of displaced element in grams) ;
I represents the current in Amperes ;
t is the time in seconds ;
N is the Oxidation state (number of displaceable electrons per atom) and
