NaNO3 is neutral salt not acid not base because it is disassociated in water giving strong acid NITRIC acid with Strong base Sodium Hydroxid with Low value of dissociation constant

It is neutral because it consists of cation of strong base (NaOH) and and anion of strong acid (HNO3). On dissolving NaNO3 in water gives aq solution of Na^+ and NO3^- ions. Neither Na^+ ions react with OH^- of water nor NO3^- ions react with H^+ of water, so the pH of water does not change on dissolving of NaNO3

Neither. If dissolved in water, the pH of the resulting solution will be neutral.

How can you tell? By noting the acid or base from which the ions are derived. When a salt like this one dissolves, it forms two ions, Na+ and NO3- in this case. if the positively charged ion is derived from a strong base, it is a neutral cation. Na+ is derived from NaOH, a strong base, so Na+ is neutral, neither acidic nor basic. NO3- is derived from HNO3, one of the strong acids, so this ion is also neutral.

It is neither an acid nor a base. It is actually a salt, formed by neutralization of an acid with a base. The reaction is,

NaOH + HNO3—————— NaNO3. + H2O

Base + Acid———————Salt. + Water

Sodium nitrate is the salt that would be produced in the reaction of sodium hydroxide, a strong base, and nitric acid, a strong acid. As such, NaNO3 is neither an acid nor a base. As the conjugate acid of NaOH, Na+ is too weak an acid to cause an increase in the hydrogen ion concentration of water. As the conjugate base of HNO3, NO3^- is too weak a base to accept hydrogen ions from water.

This compound is sodium nitrate and it is neither an acid nor a base. It is an ionic salt that can be made by reacting sodium hydroxide with nitric acid:

NaOH + HNO3 → NaNO3 + H2O

A salt formed by reaction of an acid and and a base.like nitrick acid and sodium hydroxide.But if you use sodium nitrate as fertilizer your soil might become acidic with time

The nitrate anion NO3- is the weak conjugate base of the strong acid HNO3.

However sodium nitrate in aqueous solution is neither an acid or a base in the Arrhenius or Lowry Bronsted sense, so it will be essentially neutral; since it is produced from reacting a strong base (sodium hydroxide NaOH) with a strong acid (nitric acid HNO3) giving a pH of 7.

In HSAB (Hard Soft Acid Base) theory; which uses charge density and polarizability to define acidity; nitrate anion is considered to be a border-line base but I don’t think that’s what you were looking for in your answer.
