KOH and NaOH are both strong bases and dissociate completely in water, so how do you tell which one is more basic?
For this you have to check the disassociation constant- pKb for basicity. A quick online check shows that the pKb for NaOH is 0.2, and for KOH it’s 0.5. Since the pKb chart is similar to pKa in that the lower the value the stronger the base, NaOH is more willing to release the -OH group and is the stronger base.
This follows up on the activity of sodium and potassium- Potassium is more active than sodium, and therefore once reacted with water holds onto its -OH group more strongly than sodium
