What are the differences between α-ni (OH) 2 and β-ni (OH) 2 structures.
The structure of nickel hydroxide includes two types, one is α-ni (OH) 2, and the other is β-ni (OH) 2. Although these two compounds are the same, the chemical properties, physical properties and their structures are the same. There are differences.β-ni (OH) 2 is a hexagonal water magnesium stone crystal structure. OH-ion is a six-way tential structure, and the nickel atom is located at the gap between the octagonal between the two layers. This is a layered structure. The layer and layer are six -square plane formed by oxygen atoms and nickel atoms. There are 3 oxygen atoms above each nickel plane and 3 oxygen atoms below. α-Ni (OH) 2 has a special layer-shaped spiral structure. This structure is composed of a layered NIO2 at a distance. Each NIO2 layer and adjacent NIO2 insert some OH-and the adjacent NIO2Some metal ions, α-ni (OH) 2 When an oxidation reaction occurs, the average number of electrons transferred per nickel atom per nickel is about 1.7 times the number of β-ni (OH) 2.Great development research value. Research from \"Power Technology\" -The research on zinc nickel battery and its α-ni (OH) 2 positive pole material-Li Yuan, Zhao Yuxiang, Wu Xianglian, Zhu Wei
