What chemicals react violently with HCl?

Brent Meeker  Follow

HCl can react with a number of chemicals, organic and inorganic in nature, such as alcohol, chlorates, carbides, picrates, nitrates and metals. Aldehydes in the presence of HCl can cause violent polymerisation.

HCl and H2O2 react violently with many metals to produce highly flammable H2 and which may explode.
