What happens when you mix calcium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid?
The substances for this chemical reaction are calcium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid. The calcium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid break down to form ions .,
Ca(OH)2 ----------------> Ca2+ + 2OH-
HCL. -------------> H+ + Cl+
So there occurs the ion exchange method and the overall chemical equation is as follows.,
Ca(OH)2 + 2HCL. -----------> CaCl2 + 2 H2O
This is basically a neutralisation reaction which is reaction that occurs between acids and bases and results in the formation of salt and water.

As the other answers indicated, you would produce a calcium salt solution. There is one other product, however: heat. Lots of it. Both calcium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid are extremely reactive, and combining them into the much more stable salt and water combination releases a lot of thermal energy. The exact amount depends on the concentrations and volumes involved, but I have seen this reaction make a beaker of solution go from room temperature to boiling in seconds.
