u can use peanut oil to dissolve the substance (5% DMSO in peanut oil; disssolve ur substance in DMSO and add peanut oil to that to make it 5% solution). u can give it by intraperitoneal route for frequent administration. For one or two time administration, u can choose oral route. But if ur administration is for more than two times its better to use intraperitoneal route. Because more than two times administration by oral route can cause laxative effect (as it contains peanut oil) and drug may be partially absorbed.

Hi, DMSO is the universal solvent where you can dissolve mostly all solute. I dont know the exact answer for your questiion, but I would like to share some information about DMSO.
1. 4ml/kg of DMSO causes hypothermia and increases the aggregation of tau in brain. So please 1ml/kg. In this case it is not possible to give doses through 1ml syringe. I prefer 15 micro liter hamiltons syringe. that is most suitable for 1ml/kg dose
2. I tried hyrocortisone succinate 300mg/kg in mice. I dissolved hydrocortisone succinate 50mg in 1ml DMSO and it increases the blood glucose level perfectly after an hour

If you can make fine suspension of your drug in Tween 80 (0.5%) it will be easy for you.

if you will administer such preparation by intraperitoneal route it will damage the cavity and animal will die within 8 days. If you will give by subcutaneous route then it will form depot and act as sustained release.
