Toxicity of tin compounds is a big deal in consumer goods. Today there are plenty of alternative, but they are still not so effective. The best option is looking for less toxic metal-organic compounds: compound of bismuth, zinc, mercury, lead, and zirconium. The zirconium and bismuth are the best options showing selective catalytic properties.
