What is the difference between oxygenation and oxidation?
Oxygenation is a physical property that refers to the amount of dissolved oxygen in a system; or the process of increasing it. Oxidation is a chemical concept that originally referred to the addition of oxygen to an element or compound, but now is usually take to mean the loss of electrons or an increase in oxidation state.
