What is the reaction of diethyl ether with dilute H2SO4?
The reaction of sulfuric acid with diethyl ether is dependent upon the concentration of the sulfuric acid and the temperature of the reaction. However, with dilute sulfuric acid, not much is going to happen, at best protonation of the ether oxygen atom.
With more concentrated solutions, diethyl ether will be hydrolyzed to ethanol.

On heating dil.sulfuric acid under pressure, diethylether is hydrolyzed to form alcohols.
C2H5-O-C2H5 + Dil.H2SO4 = 2 C2H5-OH
