What occurs in a mixture of sulfuric acid and zinc carbonate?

David MacManus  Follow

ZnCO3 + H2SO4 → CO2 + H2O + ZnSO4

Metal carbonates reacts with acid to produce carbon dioxide, water and salts.

When they react together it produces bubbles of carbon dioxide.

Hopes this helps:)

Zinc Carbonate+Sulphuric Acids --->Zinc Sulphate +water+Carbondioxide

ZnCO3 (s) + H2SO4 (aq) ---->ZnSO4 (aq) + H2O (l)+CO2 (g)

By the rule Carbonates+ Acid- ——>Salt+water+Carbondioxide
