What type of soil pH is suitable for mahogany plantations?
“Soil” doesn’t have a “pH” “problem”.
Soil pH can be too low (acidic) or too high (basic), but there isn’t a single substance that can fix both conditions, and it’s not as simple as neutralization. Typical remedies include adding sulfur to lower measured pH, and lime (calcium carbonate) to raise pH. But if the underlying soil doesn’t have a diverse ecosystem of microbes and/or is missing or low any of the essential macrominerals for plants (especially nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium), the pH doesn’t really matter- it’s going to be inhospitable and the plants will fail to thrive.

It depends on the plant you cultivate.
If you are growing a crop which needs more water I would suggest water retentive Black soil.
If you are cultivating crops that don't need enough water and can grow even during drought conditions like millets I suggest sandy soil.
If you want fertile soil alluvial soil is the best.

Lime to increase, sulfur to decrease. Adjust accordingly based on soil tests and the pH of the crop/s you are planing to grow.
