Which of the following is DfH° equal to zero at 25°C, N2, C, HCl, CO2, or H2?

[math]Delta H_f^0[/math] is defined as the enthalpy of the reaction that produces a compound from its elements in their standard states.

By that definition, the enthalpy of formation of an element is zero.

So N[math]_2[/math] (g, 1 atm), C (s, graphite), and H[math]_2[/math] (g, 1 atm) all have enthalpy of formation equal to zero.
