Why are asparagus always bundled with the purple rubber bands?
It may be the suppliers way of knowing his stock. Or like apple etc print it on paper then pinned on box or if its a different variety it will be marked in another colour or way. We had to watch it when daffs come in. We go to market 3 in morn get best then by 11 they were half price. Another supplier could sell same golden ducat eg. At 3 am and selling them same as other person at 11am.if u need them you pay. The price. Confusing but you are kept on your toes supply and demand.
