About the use of titanium chloride solution

Colin Reed  Follow
With the dissolution of TICL3 in water and hydrochloric acid solutions, the concentration of three -valent titanium in the solution decreases, while the acidity increases. The change of acidity during ticl3 is caused by ticl3 hydrolysis. When the ticl3 content in the solution is lower than 5g/L, the titanium hydroxide oxide mixed with alkaline titanium chloride (III) is precipitated. When the concentration is higher, it precipitates the titanium hydroxide mixed with hydroxide chloride(Ⅲ).When the content of hydrochloric acid increased from 2 % to 26 %, the solubility of TICL3 in hydrochloric acid decreased from 35.2 % to 11.3 %.The degree of hydrolysis in TICL3 thick solution (greater than 10g/L) and a hydrolysis in 1 % HCL solution is about 10 %.The Ticl3 solution is the most stable in 3 % HCL.

I have also planned to use TICL3 recently. What are the precautions during use?It is said to be toxic and easy to use on the Internet, and dare not use it easily. Thanks!
