~10-15 s in Oxygen plasma cleaner
or several minutes in UV/ozone cleaner
effect will be good for the next half hour at least, I think.

by using oxygen plasma treatment you can make your surface more hydrophillic but it's temporary.

Dear colleagues. Thank you for your answers. What do you think is it suitable to apply method described by Wang et al (10.1016/j.wasman.2014.02.005)? I mean about-hour-long boiling treatment.

As Dustin said, the O2 plasma cleaner should make your surface more hydrophillic. But from my experience (with PC and COC), it won't last for more than 10-15 min....

To study Wiertz and the other descriptions of methods is right thing to do. As coating is a laborious technique, most folks prefer to order coated wells and kits for ELISpot nowadays. The result is even after many years they hardly understand what they are doing in their plates...

I have the impression all such techniques are not perfect for the task. We treated plates with MgSO4 solution overnight at +4 before antigen coating, and also it is possible to treat plate with 96-percent ethanol before MgSO4. It is approximately the same like boiling or UV maybe, coating effect is 10-50 percent improved only. Different type of plastic can be more useful if it still doesn't work.
