I’m sorry about your branch! Optum is moving to a regional distribution model, THAT is why branches are closing. 24 that I know of. There’s a LOT of re-org going on (again). Nursing leadership, pharmacy, AND C-Suite. Trying to get patients to come into the ambulatory infusion center instead of infusing at home as well.

Seems like the New York area is going to be particularly hit with this. No Coram now on the island, optum I believe is consolidating now to just 1 branch. Not that many Home infusion providersMore

Unfortunately my branch is one of the many closing down. We've been insanely busy for the past few years - to the point that we had to transfer patients to other branches, so this was a complete shock to us all. Very emotional day at work today. I'm still in shock and at a loss for words

I questioned this to....this is a highly unusual thing to happen all at once and with 2 major entities. Almost seems like they know something else is comingMore
I was just on the phone with an Amerita infusion company to get the formula faxed to our hospital and they said a lot of their staff walked out and quit the other day too! This is quite bizarreMore
