Are natural Christmas trees more environmentally friendly than plastic ones?

It's Christmas tree season again. What kind of Christmas tree do you choose?More and more people take environmental protection into consideration.Take a look at what the experts say:
According to radio Canada international, there are two studies on which Christmas trees are more environmentally friendly.The other is an independent study, led by Erie poussos, an environmental consultancy based in Montreal.
The problem with natural Christmas trees, elipsos's research points out, is that some of the farms that produce them are damaging the local ecosystem, and cutting down a tree for a month is wasteful, even though some trees are recycled to make mulch.
The main problem with artificial Christmas trees is that they use up natural resources and emit greenhouse gases.
Both studies point out that producing a natural Christmas tree emits fewer greenhouse gases than making an artificial one, but if people can reuse them for many years, the greenhouse gas emissions of an artificial Christmas tree will be lower than that of a natural one.
Therefore, if you choose a man-made Christmas tree, it is best to reuse it for more than 8 years, or even better to reuse it for more than 20 years.If you choose a natural Christmas tree, try to choose local farms and forest farm products. In addition, the Christmas tree should be sent to mulch after the festival, so that it can be used for energy saving and environmental protection. Most Canadian cities now have such recycling services.
Both studies point out that Christmas trees cause far fewer greenhouse gas emissions than flying or driving around during the Christmas season.
