Sinochem's 56,000-ton ABS project started construction

On April 17, the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sinochem ABS modified material project was officially launched. Liu Hongsheng, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Chemical Business Department of Sinochem Group, and Director, General Manager, and Secretary of the Party Committee of Sinochem International, delivered a speech at the groundbreaking ceremony. The total investment of the project is about 500 million yuan, covering an area of about 65 acres, and the annual output will reach 56,000 tons after it is completed (the first phase of the planned construction is 24,000 tons per year, and the investment is about 280 million yuan).

On April 18, 2020, Sinochem International's Lightweight Materials Division and Yangzhou Chemical Industry Park signed an investment agreement for the ABS modified material project. On August 29, 2020, Sinochem International disclosed in its semi-annual report that the construction of the 24,000-ton/year ABS modified material project has begun. On September 22, 2020, in response to investors’ questions, Sinochem International stated that the project belongs to the field of modified plastics, and is widely used in the automotive industry, household appliances, medical and health, rail transit, construction engineering and other industries. It is expected to be 2021 It was completed and put into production in October


Liu Hongsheng said that the project closely follows Sinochem's strategic direction of gathering innovative resources, promoting the industrial layout of new materials, and breaking through key material bottlenecks. After completion, it will help Sinochem expand the global market share of ABS and strengthen the ABS global supply system; Conducive to promoting the development of local industries and achieving mutual benefit and win-win results.
