In October, the U.S. FDA Rejected 21 Food Import Applications from Our Country
In October 2024, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) rejected the import of many batches of food from China. The main reason for the rejection of these foods is that they contain, in whole or in part, filthy, rotten, decomposed substances, or contain other substances unfit for consumption. This can be seen as an early warning because the FDA does not fully test all samples. On the contrary, the products of some food companies were refused to import, mainly due to the early warning management mechanism of the US FDA.
For those exporting companies, it is very important to pay attention to the relevant information about the import warning of the United States. When their products are involved in import alert related issues, they should actively take countermeasures. Specifically, these measures include, but are not limited to: first, companies need to understand the FDA's warning mechanism in detail to understand which products may be affected; Secondly, enterprises should strengthen internal quality control to ensure that all export products meet the standards and requirements of the US FDA; Third, enterprises should maintain close communication with American importers to timely understand the specific content and scope of import warning; Finally, enterprises should actively seek the help of professional organizations to interpret the early warning information in detail and formulate corresponding coping strategies.
Through these measures, export enterprises can better respond to the US FDA's import warning and ensure that their products can smoothly enter the US market. At the same time, these measures also help to improve the overall quality management level of enterprises and enhance their competitiveness in the international market.
