Lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia in children
Lymphocytic interstitial pneumonia (LIP) is a chronic, progressive, interstitial pneumonia that often occurs with AIDS. LIP and pulmonary lymphoid hyperplasia (PLH) can be seen in various immune disorders, such as autoimmune diseases, chronic graft-versus-host disease after bone marrow transplantation, and pulmonary manifestations of AIDS patients. It is currently considered an AIDS-defining index disease.
