Persistent tubal pregnancy
Persistent tubal pregnancy refers to the situation where trophoblast cells still survive after conservative tubal pregnancy surgery or drug treatment, and human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) still maintains a certain level without decreasing or even increases. Persistent tubal pregnancy may occur after 3% to 20% of conservative surgery. The main manifestations are lower abdominal pain after conservative surgery, and occasionally continued bleeding in the abdominal cavity. It is amenorrhea, abdominal pain, vaginal bleeding, and pelvic mass. Surviving trophoblast cells can still destroy surrounding tissues and cause intra-abdominal bleeding. It is a new complication that has emerged in recent years after the increase in conservative treatment of tubal pregnancy.
