Bacterial prostatitis
Bacterial prostatitis is an acute or non-acute infection of the prostate caused by one or more pathogens. The pathogens are gram-negative aerobic bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. According to the clinical manifestations of the infection, it can be divided into: acute bacterial prostatitis and chronic bacterial prostatitis. If acute bacterial prostatitis is not treated in time, it can turn into chronic bacterial prostatitis. If the inflammation further develops into an abscess, it is called a prostatic abscess.
