Scrotitis is often caused by pathological factors such as scrotal injury, urine extravasation, and diabetes. Pathogenic bacteria are often Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa (Pseudomonas aeruginosa), and anaerobic Streptococcus. There are three types of scrotitis: 1. Erythematous type is symmetrically distributed on both sides of the scrotum, about 3×4 cm in size, with distinct erythema on the edges, covered with gray or brown thin scabs, and rough surface. After peeling off the scab, slightly red skin is exposed, without significant infiltration. When the lesion expands, it may fuse at the root of the penis. 2. Papule type: At the beginning, there are several scattered soybean-sized papules on one side of the scrotum, which are significantly higher than the skin, flat in shape, and covered with brown thin scabs. Later, they increase and expand, densely and symmetrically distributed on both sides of the scrotal suture, about 3×4 cm, fused into pieces, and often fused at the root of the scrotum. There are irregular, gray-black thick scabs that are significantly higher than the skin surface at the coronal sulcus of the penis, and there are gray scales on the penis. There are scattered folliculitis or abscesses in the pubic and groin areas. 3. White papules and silvery psoriasis type: This type is rare but very typical. It consists of a large area of flat papules the size of melon seeds fused together in front of the scrotum. They are silvery white in color and silvery white scales will fall off when scratched.
