Galactorrhea
The most common type of nipple discharge is yellowish serous discharge, which often occurs in breast hyperplasia, intraductal papilloma, or breast cancer. Purulent nipple discharge is more common in breast inflammation and breast duct ectasia. Bloody nipple discharge is common in intraductal papilloma or breast cancer. Of course, hyperprolactinemia caused by endocrine disorders can also cause nipple galactorrhea.
