Phlegm-heat cough
Patients with phlegm-heat accumulation in the lungs due to pathogenic factors invading the airways and the lungs failing to clear and purify. If the external pathogens are not resolved, they may also have external symptoms. Clinical manifestations include cough, thick yellow phlegm, difficulty in coughing and vomiting, nasal congestion and runny nose, sore throat and hoarseness, red tongue, thin yellow or greasy fur, and slippery and rapid pulse. Western medicine diagnoses it as bronchitis, and most patients have a history of cold infection or contact. Dry and wet rales can be heard by auscultation of the lungs.
