Paragonimiasis westermani
Paragonimiasis westermani, also known as lung fluke disease, is caused by Paragonimus westermani. The general symptoms are increased eosinophils in peripheral blood, coughing, coughing up rusty sputum, and corresponding symptoms if the parasites are parasitic in other parts of the body. In my country, there are two types of Paragonimiasis westermani endemic areas, namely the northeastern endemic area where crayfish are the vector and the southeastern endemic area where river crabs are the vector. The most serious epidemics are in Zhejiang, Heilongjiang and Jilin provinces.
