Rectal prolapse in children
Rectal prolapse refers to the anal canal and rectum protruding out of the anus. It is a disease in which the anal canal and rectum protrude out of the anus. The prolapsed material is pink or bright red, ring-shaped, wrinkled, and soft. It usually does not bleed. In mild cases, it can be retracted after defecation. In severe cases, it needs to be pushed by hand to be retracted.
