Late-onset hypogammaglobulinemia
Late-onset hypogammaglobulinemia is a disease that includes a group of gamma globulin imbalances. It is characterized by extremely low or absent levels of certain Ig in the patient's blood, while another Ig may be increased; or normal Ig levels but abnormal functions, and other symptoms. The patient's Ig deficiency content may also change over time. Its common immunodeficiency is that B cells cannot synthesize certain Ig, or can only synthesize Ig with abnormal functions. The number of B cells in the patient's peripheral blood is reduced or normal, but there are defects in the maturation and differentiation of B cells or abnormal T cell immune regulation.
