Recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis
Recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis refers to a condition in which women suffer from simple vulvovaginal candidiasis. After treatment, clinical symptoms and signs disappear. After a negative mycological examination, symptoms reappear and the mycological examination is positive again. This is called recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. If the disease recurs 4 or more times within a year, it is called recurrent vulvovaginal candidiasis. It is a common multiple and stubborn disease in gynecology. The etiology is very complex and the factors leading to recurrence are extensive. It is estimated that 5% of adult women suffer from recurrent stubborn vulvovaginal candidiasis.
