Osteosclerosis
Osteopetrosis, also known as manble bone or primary brittle bone sclerosis, is a rare congenital disease of systemic bone structural abnormalities, with the skull being one of the most common sites. The bones are extremely dense and have lost their original structure, just like marble. However, bone brittleness increases and fractures are more likely to occur. It may also be accompanied by anemia, eye atrophy, and deafness. It is a rare disease and is often discovered during X-ray examinations due to fractures or other conditions. It affects slightly more men than women. It is generally believed that the vast majority of patients have already begun to have lesions before the onset of the disease. It is divided into two types based on clinical manifestations: malignant (juvenile type) and benign (adult type). The former is often stillborn or dies of anemia after birth, and has a poor prognosis.
