Pregnancy complicated by hypothyroidism
Hypothyroidism (abbreviated as hypothyroidism) refers to an endocrine disease caused by insufficient synthesis and secretion of thyroid hormone (TH) or reduced physiological effects due to various reasons. Women often experience anovulatory menstruation and infertility, and combined pregnancy is rare. The most common cause of pregnancy combined with hypothyroidism is autoimmune thyroid disease - chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis. Antibodies produced by the body's immune dysfunction cause diffuse lymphocyte infiltration in the thyroid tissue, leading to thyroid enlargement and reduced thyroid function.
