Bacterial corneal ulcer
Bacterial corneal ulcer is a corneal suppurative infection caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aeruginosa, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Neisseria gonorrhoeae and Moraxella after the corneal epithelium is damaged. In recent years, agricultural crops, nail scratches, iron filings and foreign body injuries, and contact lens abrasions have been the main causes of injury. In rural areas, Streptococcus pneumoniae and Pseudomonas aeruginosa during the autumn and summer harvest seasons are the main pathogens.
