Nonparasitic liver cysts
Most non-parasitic liver cysts are benign diseases of the liver, among which congenital cysts are the most common. The disease can be solitary or multiple. Multiple liver cysts are often accompanied by polycystic lesions of organs such as the kidney, pancreas, ovary, and lung. Non-parasitic liver cysts can be divided into the following types according to their etiology: congenital cysts (isolated or solitary, diffuse or multiple); traumatic cysts; inflammatory cysts; retention cysts; tumor cysts (dermoid cysts, cystadenomas, cysts formed by degeneration of malignant tumors).
