Silent lymphocytic thyroiditis
Subacute lesions, mostly occur in women in the postpartum period. Most postpartum thyroid dysfunction occurs in this disease. The incidence rate in postpartum women is about 5% to 10%. Although the cause of quiescent thyroiditis is unclear, recent evidence suggests that it is an autoimmune disease.
