There are more than 20 opioid chemicals used clinically, but in China, the drugs that are used for non-therapeutic purposes and cause a lot of problems are mainly opioids and heroin. There are 9 diseases related to opioid dependence, which are: ① opioid poisoning; ② opioid withdrawal syndrome; ③ opioid toxic delirium; ④ opioid-induced mental disorders, delusional states; ⑤ opioid-induced mental disorders, hallucinations; ⑥ opioid-induced mood disorders; ⑦ opioid-induced sexual dysfunction; ⑧ opioid-induced sleep disorders; ⑨ diseases related to opioid use that cannot be classified as the above (Jerome H. Jaffe, 1995).
