Thyroid tumor
Thyroid adenoma is a benign tumor originating from thyroid follicular cells and is the most common benign thyroid tumor. It is currently believed that this disease is mostly monoclonal and is caused by stimulation similar to thyroid cancer. It often occurs during the active stage of thyroid function. Clinically, it is divided into two types: follicular and papillary solid adenomas, with the former being more common. It is often a single nodule with clear boundaries in the thyroid capsule, with a complete capsule. The size ranges from less than 1 to 10 cm. This disease exists sporadically throughout the country and is slightly more common in areas where endemic goiter is prevalent.
