Pediatric convulsions
Pediatric convulsions refer to tonic and clonic convulsions of the whole body or local muscle groups due to brain nerve dysfunction, often accompanied by impaired consciousness. Convulsions are a common emergency in children, especially in infants and young children. The incidence rate is very high, about 5-6% of children have had one or more convulsions. Frequent or persistent convulsions are life-threatening or can leave children with serious sequelae, affecting their intellectual development and health. The incidence rate of convulsions in children is 10 times that of adults, especially in infants and young children.
