Basal cell carcinoma
Basal cell carcinoma, also known as moth ulcer, is the most common type of skin cancer, with a high incidence, ranking first among eyelid malignancies (about 50% or more). It is slightly more common in men than in women, and more common in the elderly than in the young, with the peak age being between 50 and 60 years old. It usually grows only locally and invasively, and rarely metastasizes. However, if it is not treated properly or not treated, it may also seriously damage eye tissues, and even invade the paranasal sinuses and the brain, causing death.
