Cervical lymphadenitis
Acute lymphadenitis is usually secondary to other inflammatory lesions, caused by purulent bacteria invading local lymph nodes along the lymphatic vessels. Therefore, this disease is often accompanied by primary infection lesions, such as throat, mouth, head and face, which may be accompanied by submandibular or cervical lymphadenopathy and pain. The pathogenic bacteria are mostly Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus. The prone sites are the lymph nodes in the neck, armpits and groin. This disease belongs to the category of carbuncle in traditional Chinese medicine.
