Anal sinusitis, also known as anal cryptitis, is an inflammatory lesion in the anal sinus and anal glands. It is an important potential infection lesion, and about 85% of anorectal lesions are related to anal sinus infection. Anal papilla inflammation, also known as anal papillary hypertrophy, is an inflammatory proliferative lesion of chronic fibrosis of the anal papilla. It often occurs with anal sinusitis and is a common complication of anal fissure, anal fistula, etc. Severe fibrosis and proliferation of the anal papilla is also called anal papillary fibroma. Although there is no such disease name in traditional Chinese medicine, its clinical manifestations have long been described and listed in the hemorrhoids, called grape hemorrhoids.
