Mucolipidosis type III
Mucolipidosis type III is also known as pseudo-Hurler syndrome and pseudo-Hurler multiple malnutrition. As the name suggests, its clinical symptoms are basically the same as Hurler syndrome, but without mucopolysacchariduria. Joint contractures may occur in early childhood, but the disease progresses slowly and can survive into adulthood. There is no intellectual disability or mild mental retardation, and pathological changes are also very mild. Based on these characteristics, it can be distinguished from mucolipidosis type II.
