Subperiosteal orbital abscess
The clinical condition of subperiosteal abscess of the orbit is similar to that of orbital cellulitis, and it is difficult to differentiate between the two. With the widespread application of modern imaging technology, especially CT scanning, subperiosteal abscess has gradually been recognized and its detection rate has gradually increased. The incidence of subperiosteal abscess is not less than that of orbital cellulitis. The infection focus of this disease is located in a relatively avascular dead cavity, and there is still some controversy about its treatment.
